The University Court is the supreme governing body of the University; it has wide ranging powers, in particular relating to the strategic direction of the University, but has delegated purely academic matters to the Senate.
With a view to improving the understanding and engagement of students with the work of the University Court, the Chair of Court and the Principal are keen for students to attend meetings of Court as observers. Meetings normally last for around 3 hours and discussion covers a range of sector wide issues together with strategic issues currently facing the University. In addition the meeting will also consider reports from a variety of sub committees of the Court.
The next meeting of the Court will take place on Thursday 26th April at 4.00pm on the Hamilton Campus. If you are interested in attending a meeting of the Court as an observer please email Sharon Cosh Sharon.firstname.lastname@example.org Please note spaces are limited.
